3 kilometer road runway identified on Yamuna express way

मथुरा के पास का 3 किलोमीटर हिस्सा प्लेन की लैंडिंग के लिए सही माना गया। इसकी वजह यह थी कि यह एक्सप्रेस-वे के बाकी हिस्सों से ज्यादा मोटा और मजबूत था। इस हिस्से की चौड़ाई 50 मीटर थी जो एयरफोर्स के रनवे से भी ज्यादा पाई गई। सड़क के दोनों ओर 110 मीटर की जमीन भी खाली थी।
दुश्मन के हमले के समय रोड को भी रनवे बनाना पड़ सकता है। किन सड़कों पर प्‍लेन उतारा जा सकता है, यह तय करने के लिए किए जाने वाले टेस्‍ट को रोड रनवे टेस्‍ट कहते हैं। दूसरे देशों में ऐसे प्रयोग होते रहते हैं, पर भारत में यह पहला मौका है जब रोड पर फाइटर प्लेन की सफल लैंडिंग कराई गई है।

ये है प्लानिंग
* आगरा-लखनऊ एक्सप्रेसवे के 2 किमी हिस्से में उतरेंगे एयरफोर्स के विमान: उत्तर प्रदेश एक्सप्रेसवेज इंडस्ट्रियल डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (यूपीईआईडीए) प्रस्तावित आगरा-लखनऊ एक्सप्रेस वे के दो किलोमीटर हिस्से को इस लायक बनाएगी ताकि वहां आपात स्थितियों में वायुसेना के लड़ाकू और मालवाहक विमान उतारे जा सकें और वहां से उड़ान भर सकें।
* एयरफोर्स अगर सिफारिश करती है तो यमुना एक्सप्रेस-वे के इस तीन किलोमीटर के हिस्से (जहां गुरुवार को लैंडिंग हुई) की मोटाई और बढ़ाई जा सकती है।
* आम ट्रैफिक के लिए बायपास बना कर एक्‍सप्रेस वे के इस हिस्से को सील किया जा सकता है।
* रोड रनवे के आसपास फायर बिग्रेड स्टेशन, हॉस्पिटल और पुलिस चौकियां बनाई जा सकती हैं ताकि वहां विमानों के उतरने पर किसी भी आपात स्थिति से निपटा जा सके।
* तीन किलोमीटर का यह हिस्सा सुरक्षा के लिहाज से एयरफोर्स या सीआईएसएफ को भी सौंपा जा सकता है।
