आगरालीक्स… यूपी के नए डीजीपी सुलखान सिंह आगरा के एसपी सिटी रहे हैं, वे दो साल आगरा में रहे, उनकी विदाई के दौरान शहरवासियों की आंखें नम हो गईं थी। ईमानदार छवि के सुलखान सिंह इंडियन रेलवे सर्विस को छोडकर इंडियन पुलिस सर्विसेज में आए थे। वे आगरा में 1987 से 1989 तक रहे, यहां से उनका मेरठ ट्रांसफर हुआ था। दो साल के कार्यकाल में उन्होंने कई बडे काम किए, जिन्हें आज भी शहरवासी याद करते हैं।
योगी आदित्यनाथ ने जावीद अहमद को हटाकर सुलखान सिंह को यूपी का नया डीजीपी बनाया है, सुलखान सिंह पहले प्रशिक्षण मुख्यालय में तैनात थे। नई तैनाती के तहत जावीद अहमद को PAC भेज दिया गया है।
1987 में बने थे आगरा के एसपी सिटी
980 बैच के आईपीएस सुलखान सिंह 1987 के अंत में आगरा के एसपी सिटी बने थे। वे यहां दो 1989 तक रहे, इस दौरान उनकी कार्यशैली से शहरवासी
खासे प्रभावित हुए, उनका काम करने का अपना अलग तरीका था। सबसे ज्यादा जोर क्राइम प्रिवेंशन पर दिया, इसके लिए अपराधियों की धरपकड की। उस दौरान आगरा में कमला नगर की स्वीटी को अरेस्ट करने का प्रकरण भी चर्चा में रहा था। 1989 में वे आगरा से ट्रांसफर होकर मेरठ गए थे, वहां भी उनकी कार्यशैली को पसंद किया गया।
