छेड़छाड़ और बलात्कार जैसे आरोपों में 70 व 85 वर्ष के लोगों के फंसाने का तर्क देते हुए भाजपा के सुरेश राणा ने प्रश्नकाल में सरकार से ऐसे लोगों की मेडिकल जांच कराने की मांग की तो जवाब में संसदीय कार्यमंत्री आजम ने आशाराम बापू का जिक्र छेड़ दिया। कहा कि आशाराम बापू की क्या उम्र है? वैज्ञानिक तौर पर इसमें उम्र कोई पाबंदी नहीं होती। सदन में महिलाएं और पत्रकार भी हैं, इसलिए ऐसी मिसालें नहीं देना चाहता जिससे वैज्ञानिक तौर पर यह साबित होगा कि इसके लिए उम्र कोई जरूरत नहीं होती।

जघन्य अपराध वालों को कमांडो

दंगे के सवाल पर आजम खां ने भाजपाइयों पर खूब निशाने भी साधे। उनका कहना था कि लोकतंत्र में ऐसे लोग, जिन्हें जेल में बंद होना चाहिए था वे संसद में बैठे हैं। जिन्हें फांसी के तख्तों पर जाना चाहिए वह देश चला रहे हैं। जिन पर जघन्य अपराध के मुकदमे लगे थे उन्हें भारत सरकार कमांडो दे देती है।

पिल्ले पैदा कराने वाली मंत्री बनी

विधानसभा की दर्शक दीर्घा में आज केंद्रीय मंत्री साध्वी निरंजन ज्योति भी थीं। प्रश्नकाल में दंगे पर बहस के दौरान आजम ने उन्हें भी निशाने पर लिया। विवादित बयानों को लेकर चर्चा में रही साध्वी को मंत्री बनाने पर तंज कसा। कहा कि 40-40 पिल्ले पैदा कराने वाली मंत्री बनी है। पाकिस्तान भेजने वाले भी मंत्री बने हैं।
