Cockroaches Made Me Want a New Palace, Says Turkey’s President

एक मच्छर आदमी को हीजडा बना देता है तो कॉकरोच घर छोडने को मजबूर कर सकता है। कॉकरोच तुर्की के राष्ट्रपति के लिए ये इतनी ज्यादा परेशानी लेकर आए की उन्हें अपना पैलेस छोड़कर नए पैलेस बनवाना पड़ा। हालांकि, जब यह नया पैलेस बन रहा था तब उनकी जमकर आलोचना हुई और उन पर सरकारी संसाधनों की फिजूलखर्ची का आरोप भी लगा था। लेकिन राष्ट्रपति रीसीप तय्यीप एर्डोगन ने अपने इस निर्णय का बचाव किया है। गौरतलब है कि एर्डोगन जब प्रधानमंत्री थे तो उन्होंने अपने लिए एक 1150 कमरों वाला आलीशान पैलेस बनवाना शुरू किया था। उनके इस निर्णय की पहले से ही आलोचना हो रही थी। राष्ट्रपति चुने जाने के बाद पिछले साल अगस्त में वो अपने नए पैलेस में रहने चले गए और पुराना पैलेस प्रधानमंत्री को दे दिया। चारों तरफ से हो रही आलोचनाओं के बाद एर्डोगन ने एक टीवी इंटरव्यू में खुलासा कि उनके पुराने आवास के शौचालयों में कॉकरोचों का आतंक था। उन्होंने सवाल किया कि क्या इस तरह का कार्यालय तुर्की के राष्ट्रपति के लिए सही होता.
