Astroturf stadium coming up in Agra

आगरालीक्स …आगरा में हॉकी के राष्ट्रीय स्तर के मैच हो सकेंगे, यहां के एकलव्य स्पोट्र्स स्टेडियम के हॉकी मैदान पर एस्ट्रोटर्फ लगाए जाएंगे, इसके लिए बुधवार को उत्त प्रदेश के युवा खेल राज्यमंत्री रामसकल गुर्जर ने शिलान्यास किया। उन्होंने कहा कि सीएम अखिलेश यादव युवाओं को स्पोर्टस के लिए प्रोत्साहित कर रहे हैं। इसी को देखते हुए आगरा में एस्ट्रोटर्फ हॉकी स्टेडियम तैयार कराने का फैसला लिया गया है। जिससे विश्व पर्यटन के नक्शे में शामिल ताजनगरी में हॉकी की प्रतियोगिताएं हो सकें। इससे ताजनगरी के युवाओं को भी मौका मिलेगा।
आगरा के एकलव्य स्पोर्टस स्टेडियम में एस्ट्रोटर्फ हॉकी स्टेडियम के लिए पिछले 10 साल से प्रयास हो रहे थे। अब आकर सपना पूरा होने जा रहा है। इस मौके पर मंत्री ने निर्देश दिया कि अधिकतम छह माह में एस्ट्रोटर्फ लग जाए। एस्ट्रोटर्फ लगते ही हॉकी की राष्ट्रीय चैम्पियनशिप आगरा में कराई जाएगी।
मंच पर अर्जुन अवार्डी अतंरराष्ट्रीय हॉकी खिलाड़ी और यश भारती पुरस्कार से सम्मानित जगवीर सिंह, देवेश चौहान, अब्दुल अजीज उपस्थित रहे। खिलाड़ियों का मंत्री ने सम्मान भी किया। सभी ने एस्ट्रोटर्फ के लिए आभार प्रकट किया। इस दौरान दर्जा प्राप्त राज्यमंत्री विपुल पुरोहित, सपा के जिलाध्यक्ष राम सहाय यादव, शहर अध्यक्ष रईसुद्दीन, राज्य महिला आय़ोग की अध्यक्ष रोली तिवारी, राजपाल यादव, छोटेलाल वर्मा, कुंदनिका शर्मा, निदेशक खेल डॉ. आरपी सिंह, संयुक्त निदेशक खेल अनिल कुमार बनौधा, एसेक राय, एचके कंसल भी उपस्थित थे।
