Smart city 2nd phase: Agra hopeful of inclusion in smart city

आगरालीक्स… आगरा स्मार्ट सिटी के रेस के लिए वार्म अप करने लगा है। पहले चरण में 10 शहर चुने गए थे अब दूसरे चरण में अन्य शहरों को चुना जाना है। टॉप 20 में शामिल न होने पर आगरा इस बार पूरे दम से दावेदारी करेगा। इसके लिए एजेंसी से कांट्रेक्ट किया गया है, जो आगरा की प्लानिंग तैयार करेगी। इस तरह आगरा प्लानिंग के साथ वोटिंग से स्मार्ट सिटी में जगह बना सकेगा, ऐसा हुआ तो कुछ सालों में आगरा का नजारा ही बदल जाएगा।

पीएम मोदी सरकार देश के शहरों को स्मार्ट बना रहे हैं, इसके लिए केंद्र सरकार द्वारा कैंपेन चलाया जा रहा है। पहले चरण में 20 शहरों का चुनाव किया गया, जिन्हें स्मार्ट सिटी बनाया जाना था, इसमें आगरा की रैंक 29 थी। इससे अगरावासियों को भी जोर का झटका लगा था। स्मार्ट सिटी में शामिल होने के लिए पूरे शहर ने वोटिंग की थी और नगर निगम के साथ मिलकर कैंपेन चलाया गया था।
20 शहरों का हो सकता है चुनाव
स्मार्ट सिटी के पहले चरण में 10 शहरों को चुना गया है। इसमें भुवनेश्वर, पुणे, जयपुर, सूरत, कोच्चि, अहमदाबाद, जबलपुर, विशाखापटनम, शोलापुर, भुवनगिरी, इंदौर, नई दिल्ली नगर निगम, कोयंबटूर, कांकीनाडा, बेलगाम, उदयपुर, गुवाहाटी, चेन्नई, लुधियाना और भोपाल शामिल है। अब दूसरे चरण में अन्य शहरों को चुना जाना है। इस बार प्रदेश की राजधानी को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी। वहीं, आगरा सहित अन्य शहर स्मार्ट सिटी के लिए दावेदारी करेंगे।
एजेंसी से हुआ करार
स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने के लिए प्लानिंग तैयार की जाती है। आगरा के लिए यह प्लानिंग क्रिसिल कंपनी को दी गई है। नगर आयुक्त इंद्र विक्रम सिंह ने मीडिया केा बताया कि क्रिसिल को प्रस्ताव बनाने का काम दे दिया गया है। इस पर पूरी कोशिश की जाएगी कि आगरा स्मार्ट सिटी में शामिल हो जाए।
क्या होगा फायदा
स्मार्ट सिटी को विकसित करने के लिए केंद्र सरकार द्वारा अतिरिक्त बजट दिया जा रहा है। इससे इन्फ्रास्ट्रेक्चर के साथ ही अन्य बुनियादी सुविधाएं विकसित करनी होंगी।
